Create a pathfinder or brochure that describes how to
use a Genealogy or Local History tool in your library. The brochure
should explain what the tool is, how to use it and what information you
learn from it. |

When thinking about what to write about, consider that
the Genealogy / Local History Department may not be staffed all the hours
the library / archives is open. The brochure should help patrons
when there is no one work with. |
|
A tool may be an index, reference tool, specialized
index to local records (such as your obituary or cemetery files), or a
complicated website. |
|
Do NOT create a bibliography. |
|
You may create the brochure or pathfinder as a website
or a paper product. |
