discussion about issues the deal with preservation and technology,
including the following topics: obsolescence, hardware, software,
storage, costs, formats that are affected by this ‘catch 22’ and what
the library / archives community is doing to remedy the situation

Post class assignment - due next week :
Write a 3 page letter (max.) to the
director of your library or archive recommending or rejecting
deacidification of a specific collection. Use the collection that you
work with or have created for the other exercises.
