Assignment:  Perform a building survey of a library

  1. Create a floor plan of one floor showing, emergency exits, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, persistent environmental problems and priority of recovery of collections on the floor.
  2. Write a memo to the director concerning the environment, preservation issues, and potential disaster areas.  Then recommendation of ways to prevent preservation problems.  (2 pages)
