and Sick Building Syndrome


Indoor Air Quality and Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) are two of the hottest topics.  They involve a variety of aspects of preservation, building maintenance and disaster prevention.  The seminar would look at the following issues:

 
 
 
 
1.     What is so important about indoor air quality and why is sick building syndrome a serious issue.
2.     What are the causes of sick building syndrome, poor indoor air quality and multiple chemical sensitivity?

3.     Controlling the indoor environment to prevent Sick Building Syndrome

4.     Where preservation comes in and why a stable environment is important

5.     What can your institution do to prevent SBS (Sick Building Syndrome) and poor IAQ (Indoor Air Quality)  without spending enormous amounts of money

6.     What do environmental engineers do, industrial hygienists, safety officers, osha, epa, etc.

7.     How is the government involved

8.     What services and resources are out there to assist with the investigation of this problem.

9.     How to deal with mold, first fix the environment - Cleaning instructions

10. Where can you learn more about SBS and IAQ.
