Understanding Website Development & Maintenance

Description:

This three tiered workshop series is designed to help Administrators, Information Gatherers and Webmasters design useful, efficient, easy to maintain websites for libraries, archives and historical societies.  Learn what to link, how to present information and make the site easy to navigate and easy to maintain.  Web accessibility and security are also addressed.

Goals:

Learn what makes a good website
Understand navigation &  usability & accessibility
Learn how to maintain the site with ease
Evaluating  links to make reference easy
 

Audience: 

Library staff responsible for gathering online and reference information from the library and the web for access through your website.  Includes administrators, librarians, staff and webmasters
